About the Guilford Education Alliance
History
Guilford Education Alliance was founded by community leadership from throughout Guilford County. Initially funded through collaboration of The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, the High Point Community Foundation and the Cemala Foundation, we are a county-wide nonprofit organization whose focus is on the Guilford County Public Schools but also addresses early childhood education and workforce preparedness.
Fashioned after organizations across the state and nation, Guilford Education Alliance is associated with the national Public Education Network and the North Carolina Public School Forum. Guilford Education Alliance works with the public school system, not for it, and provides opportunities for educational initiatives that the school system cannot provide, as well as facilitates funding into the public schools from the private sector.
