Principal for a Day - February 10, 2015

Guilford Education Alliance hosted the annual Principal for a Day on February 10 this year. Participants spent the morning shadowing a Guilford County Schools' principal on campus. This event provides an opportunity for corporate and community leaders to get a first-hand look at what Guilford County is doing to improve instruction in our schools as well as to experience what is demanded of principals in their dual roles as managers and instructional leaders. Participants see up close both the strengths of the county's public schools and the challenges they face. Above, Bessemer Elementary principal, Ronald Dixon, shares a 4th grade guided reading group with participant Gary Palmer from Replacements LTD.

If you are interested in participating next year, please email Jennifer Reavis at jreavis@GuilfordEducationAlliance.org.
