FOCUS Guilford is seeking volunteers and interns for the following activities.  All volunteers receive training and support.  We seek individuals who are passionate about education and are eager to learn from parents and community members:

• Teams of volunteers to visit neighborhoods and communities to distribute information or to get community input.
• Variable and flexible schedule

• Facilitators work in pairs
• All workshops are a participant led format
• Day and evening sessions
• Single and multiple session workshops
• Meals and childcare provided

Evaluation

• Input data from surveys, workshops, etc.
• Review and synthesize information
• Incorporate results into evaluation report
• Flexible schedule / work at home

Interviews

• Review relevant evaluation information (surveys, workshops, team participation)
• Conduct follow up individual interviews or small group discussions with participants
• Flexible schedule

Site Coordinator will serve as contact/liaison for that site:

• Attend or make arrangements for someone to open and close at each of five meetings
• Pick up food for meeting
• Have contact information for facilitators, childcare, meals, etc.
• Pass / collect sign-up sheets, evaluations and feedback sheets.

These volunteers can be one-time or longer-term commitment.

Site Coordinator Assistants-35 Volunteers

(7 locations x 5 weeks)

Assist with meeting logistics on site

Childcare Providers – 70 volunteers

(7 locations x 5 weeks x 2 providers)
